Texas was.... bigger than oklahoma :P Everything is bigger in Texas as the saying goes... The trip was rather fun. And I managed to go to the cities that I wanted to though only for a brief stop.
Day 1:

departed at 8pm (typical indonesians) then numerous stops on the way "toilet" break (it was more like a cigarette break for the 3 smokers... ) Then we had lunch at some ulu food court. Expensive and bland chinese food. There after, we had to be troubled by hotel issues. We looked through the coupon and many didn't offer discounts on weekends. See.....when I suggested to book hotels on the internet, some people (my I-know-better twin cousins) said that it's cheaper if you can get coupons... we been there(dallas only) so many times, we know... blah blah blah.... We managed to get a cheap one (and for some reason I got a feeling that it won't be that good) but it turned out to be worse than I expected. We reached the place and it was located in a very ulu street. Very quiet and everywhere looked deserted and old... One of the guy was saying that he didn't want to lose his kidney! So we searched for another hotel and found one with a vacant room but it was expensive.
After a brief rest, we proceed to the famous RiverWalk... it was sooooo crowded with people. We decided to take the cruise around the river. It was nice at first, but i became sleepy after sometime :S And I was so hungry... after the cruise we went to pick a restaurant... we didn't know what to eat many were mexican food and no one wanted it for dinner so we ended up eating at a restaurant that sold western food. It was special to eat at the open restaurant, but I didn't really enjoy the stares of the passers-by. Yeah, the food was expensive too!

Day 2:

Shopping at San Marcos' Prime Outlet. It was a very big shopping complex where you can find almost all your favorite boutiques from Gap to Gucci to Armani... We were there for like 6 hours but my shopping appitete was still not full! Should have not taggedthe twins or let them tagged us. They didn't want to shop anymore cause they had spent enough, but they have no right to prevent others to shop!!!!

At night, we went to the Ripley's Haunted Adventure... I was scared even before we reached there.

Tommy A was trying to be funny with the "ghost". His face was scary! and I wonder how he could keep his eyes wide open without blinking for a long time!

The after, we went to see the records at Guinness World record museum next door. And across the road was The Alamo (below).

Day 3:

End of our Texas trip. We stopped at Austin for lunch... Got to see a part of UT (University of Texas)... i wish I was in UT not OSU! The campus was so vibrant and big!!!

Posing in front to the bus! Haha... Happy to set foot at Austin but wished we went to see the state capitol and more parts of Austin!

Below: The Old Red Museum in Dallas that I could only see from a far on the car :( The building was so nice....

We had dinner in Dallas at a Singaporean restaurant but the food was disappointing... Butter Prawn --> prawn with egg??? Kangkong with belacan and not spicy *sigh*

Yeah! Fall break is here!!!! Going to Texas tmr for 3 days. Finally, I am able to get out of stilly during the school break. The plan was soooo indecisive till last minute :S Hope we could have fun and most importantly be SAFE.

Indra sprained his ankle just now... Not sure if he can joined us. Hope he can, but had to see how his ankle is tomorrow morning... *sigh* after the break, i will be having 2 exams!!!

We watched "the way home" a korean movie (i watched it before on Ch. U ...hui jia) during religion class (it has something to do with taoism and confucianism). It was soo touching... The movie reminded me of my grandma and my parents... how as a child I weren't able to appreciate what they have done to me and easily threw my tantrum whenever I wanted, not thinking that I had made things difficult for them. I'm sorry >.<

I won the ISO (international Student Association) Olympics Women's Badminton double!!! finally got a "gold olympic" medal. Haha... There're only 5 teams playing and 2 teams forfeited. So, we waited for malaysia to beat Nepal and then we played them. We, Ani and I, were so darn nervous. Who won't when 13 supporters were at the sideline, cheering you loudly and VISIBLY. It's enough to make one nervous to know that we were playing in a final game, but knowing that u were watched by 13 others, it was double the nervousness. I was so nervous and rather"embarrased" by my friends' loud cheer (vs. 5 supporters from M'sia) that I actually blushed! First time ever, I blushed during a match. It's definetely not from breathlessness from running around the court as I didn't run much.
Anyway, I didn't bring camera yesterday for the badminton match, but i took some photos during the vollyball match. Do note that we played BASKETBALL, prior to a VOLLEYBALL match! haha... yesterday, one of the guys even joked that the warm-up for badminton was chatting! LOL

Vasodilation! I hate it when it happened. I looked so red as read as a tomato!!!! Those at 3e1 who saw my face before after the soccer practice during PE should have remembered what I looked like. It happened again after playing badminton just now, and I just played for like 5 min of single with Viking! Have to run so much...hate single!

Anyway, Mbak Yuyun won! Yeah! Hope india would be easy...the match against Vietnam just now was rather difficult. The Viet. girl was good! Go mbak Yuyun...Can't watch gotta work :( If colvin center was near enough, I could have sneak out there during my 10 min break. Haha... My double match with Ani will be on Tuesday against Africa... Never saw them played they didn't come for the single match... hope they don't come on Tuesday too :P I'm so bad, I know.... Haha...

got exam tmr. If I didn't do well tmr, I think I and you would know why. FYI, I did study last night and this afternoon before "relaxing" by watching the badminton match. haha...

The 5 indonesians boy were on the far left
Me and Indra(the new kid.Haha...)

We have Olympics games for the International students here.

Last Saturday, there's a soccer match between Malaysia and India. Some indonesians joined the malaysian team... My cousins and I decided to watch since we didnt' really have anything to do. But before that, we went to play badminton...so nice nobody playing...and no Indian to snatch the courts...the Indians always snatched the court. The other time, when we're still playing, 2 indian guys purposely played basketball to "scare" us away...and whenever I moved back to hit the shuttlecock, one of them would make "shoo shoo" sound. sooo inconsiderate!I was real fed up and I decided to play longer than I wanted!

Sooo irritatinggggg!!!

They know I need to practice to learn how to drive a car in order to get my license.
But if they never ask me to, I don’t really want to ask them!
I mean hello, THEY KNOW I NEED to PRACTICE, but they tried very hard to ignore the problem, so what can I do???

So, please dad, stop bugging me about it!!!!

I don’t want to ask them! Cause I know what their reaction would be. They would just say that they would ask their bro and then they would be reluctantly teach me (if I’m lucky enough for ONE time only. Yeah, only ONCE , cause I only ask them for once!!!
So I have to keep asking them. I know my place, I’m not that shi chang lan da!!!!

Mama would have understood my situation!!!!

IOSA had an activity mart on Thurday afternoon. It's aim was to increase awareness of our organization in the campus. Anyway, not many came by. But we had some fun chatting and joking around at our booth.

There's this big obstacle course the one that I always see in disney channel. Risma kept bugging people to play with her. In the end, since I also wanted to tried it out, I accompanied her.

The wind was sooo strong and it was so high up. I was a little scared ...

We had IOSA (indonesian overseas student association) election today. It wasn't like any normal election i have had before. It's kinna informal, very informal. We had pot luck dinner and then followed by follow up of what the organization been doing for the past year. Then, we discussed about the next committee members, they called them officers here. What luck! I was nominated as secretary and yeah, without much voting i became one >.< It's like we just had a verbal discussion of the officers and the person nominated didn't really have much choice. Anyway, I do hope I would do a good job doing it. I've never been a secretary before and from the past experiences, I didn't really like being in a committee. First meeting this Saturday.

I'm soooo ashamed of myself! I just realized how spoilt a child I am! Well, I know i'm spoilt- my mum always do most of the things (cook, laundry...) for me, then any other technical stuffs, my dad is always there to fix it.But I just don't know that i'm that spoilt. So, here I am in USA and i find myself lost not knowing what to do when things happened. Yeah, even after a year in USA, I should at least learn how to be independent and do things on my own, right? For the record, I cook and do my own laundry, but for the most of the things that my dad used to do for me, I'm still trying to do those myself...

Anyway, now that I have some friends already, I tend to ask them for help instead. Haha...

What I'm trying to share here is that the chain of my bicycle came loose (or whatever the term is). Basically, I couldn't paddle the bike. I tried to meddle with the chain, but didn't quite know what to do.

When at work, I tried to ask Sho, he's a new worker, a Japanese (many japanese there), if he had a bike or if he knew how to fix my bike. He doesn't have a bike (as he has a car). But he offered to take a look at my bike and see what he can do. I was quite surprise by this sudden kind gesture. So we exchanged numbers.

After 3pm, he called me to say that he's outside my apt and he brought 2 other friends, Hiro and Koichi (they worked at pistol too and Koichi just lived NW from my apt).Hiro managed to fix the chain of my bike in like seconds, and he did this while I was on the phone with Sho, making my way to the front door. Hiro said, "You should know how to fix this yourself" I tried to defend myself by saying that I tried to move the chain, but it wouldn't move. Revelation it was when he told me that I should move the lower chain not the top. 3 guys looking at me as if i'm dumb (actually, i think only Hiro did). I'm not dumb, just ignorant (nvr pay attention when dad fixed my bike, cause I just left him to do all the work and enjoyed myself :P ) Still, I really feel stupid! May be I shouldn't have agreed to Sho's offer. If I knew he would bring 2 other people... but of course he had to ask for help. He doesn't really know how to fix bike and if he came alone it would be like the blind leading the blind. Well, I think I do need this "wake up call"!

Anyway, Liverpool trashed Toulouse 4-0!!!

I thought I wouldn't care. But then, why did I catch myself looking out of the window to check if the black toyota camry is in the parking lot or not? Most of the time, it weren't there. The emptiness that filled the house started to creep into my heart. I felt bitter, hurt, and these feelings started to sting my eyes... but each time, i told myself not to be such a fool again. I've shed enough tears, so don't waste anymore of it on this.

I had to learn to ignore these feelings. This isn't new. But yeah, i'm foolish enough to create some sort of bogus hope. Hope! No more of it in our relationship, for sure. If they ask me, the sun would have risen from the West! Anyway, it's good isn't it. I'm already being excluded, the odd one out. Moving out, being on my own just justified it. We won't need to put up false pretence anymore.

I went to visit Yuriko yesterday. She showed me around fifth floor of Parker dormitory. I took a look at the public bathroom, and I couldn't think of myself not having a bathroom in my own place! Yuriko is going to Oregon as an exchange student next semester (otherwise, we could be roommate next spring). Now, i'm thinking of following her footstep of applying to be an exchange student. Then, I wouldn't be stuck in this boring (and sorrowful) Stillwater anymore! And I still don't know if I should apply for the school scholarship or not :S I wish I was Peterpan never having to grow up and worry about so many things!
On the lighter note, I have finished decorating my apt. Since there're two rooms and only me, I decided to turn the bigger one into my bedroom and the other one into my study room. Here are some of the photos.

Haven't been blogging for a while. Busy moving house, working and fall semester has started since Monday! The lessons are rather boring, except for Marketing. The teacher rocks! And guess what? I'm in the same class as Roni, and Asagi in Management. First time having someone I know in the same class!

Work was crazy on Monday and Tuesday! Order kept coming non-stop. We didn't have time to take any break at all! I even had to leave 2o minutes later on Monday just to help make some orders as most of the people were new. Now, we had to pay for our food. We couldn't just take any food like we used to. But we got 50% off though. Well, at least today's not that crazy. It was slow after 8pm, and we left earlier today!

Thunder! Thunderstorm coming this weekend. It was so hot monday through Thursday.... well erratic Oklahoma weather!

Yuriko invited me to visit her dorm room. I want to go there tomorrow afternoon, but if it rains heavily...Well, I saw Farrell's room just now. I guess Yuriko's would be more or less the same. I always thought dorm room would have a bathroom till today! I don't think I want to live in a dorm anymore!

Finally, I got myself a handphone :D

Liverpool should have beaten Chelsea. Stupid referee, stupid penalty!

Happy Birthday Deng Lao Shi!!!!

Hope your wishes come true, lao shi!

I'm finally back at this quaint Stillwater. Our trip was not as smooth as we planned it, but it could be worse. We were stranded on the plane for 6 freaking long hours. Thought that we could save some time by taking the non-stop flight from SIN-LAX, but in the end, we had to wait for 6 hours on the plane after we landed as the computer system in the custom was down. Then, we went to the hotel for the night. Luckily, I booked the hotel already. Otherwise, we would be spending the night at the airport. Hotels were fully booked due to the computer break-down. Before that, we couldn't watch the movies as the movie system for our row was down. WE could only play games :S

As if things couldn't be worse, when we checked in for the domestic flight, we were told that our luggage was over the weight limit of 50lbs. Ani & Ana had to pay $100 for the 2 luggage. Actually, there were four, but they were only charged for 2 *grin* (later, we learnt that international passengers are allowed up to 70lbs)! The price to pay for experience! Mine was 1.5 lbs heavier, but wasn't charged.

ONly 1 sticker came out for my luggage and I had 2! I weren't allowed to print anymore by the stupid com! Anyway, I then decided to carry the smaller luggage and when we reached the custom (the scanning), I just remembered that I had shampoo n lotion in the luggage. WE quickly got out of the queue and panickly thought of things that we could do with the luggage. Then, i decided to queue at the "odd-size luggage check-in". It had the shortest line and I thought I could just ask the person in-charge if there's anyway I could check in my luggage again. As it turned out, he just asked me for my boarding pass and as my flight was delayed till 1.30 pm (it was 10.30am), there was still time to transfer my luggage and ta da, I could check in my luggage. I was actually rather surprised that it was so smooth! But i couldn't complain, can I? *phew. Enough trouble for 2 days already! Kinna worried when I next travel!

Also, my uncle passed away on Sunday. He looked okay when we visited him on Friday....

second time proves to be harder

my departureday islooming closer and closer day by day. In the blink of an eye, it will be Saturday, and it's time to say goodbye again...till next year? Three months seem long, but it's not long enough. I know it's inevitable, but stil it's hard to accept. The second time proves to be more difficult. This time I would not have my family as companion, I could not take solace in the unknown for I know what to expect, and what awaits my return.

Stillwater ain't that bad. It's where:
- I got a real taste of absolute independence.
-I earned my first penny.
-I did my household chores by myself.
-I was able to return home in the wee hours without feeling guilty for worrying my mum.
-I felt homesick to be bone- missing my family and friends like never before. And hence, I'm able to live with it. Trained my emotional toughness, I would say)
-I know that there's such thing as "second class cousin" and how it felt to be one. (this isn't a good one, but again training my emotional toughness, and learnt that who you consider relatives may be worse off than your friends whom you share no blood tie with).

Still, I yearn for the other S- Singapore!

alma mater

I retraced my footsteps, walked down the memory lane on Friday. I was filled with nostalgia walking into the school compound. Two years since I graduated, but the school still looked the same. Some minor changes here and there, but it's still looked the same as when I was a student there.
The parade square when we had to religiously go every morning before the start of lesson to sing the national anthem, the garden, the staff room, the classrooms, the science practical labs...the teachers. For four years, 6 hours, sometimes 8 to 10 hrs, a day five to six times a week, I spent my time there- learning, building rapport...sleeping, daydreaming(who don't?). I know I would miss those time, but it never occurred to me that I would miss them sooooo sooooo much, especially last year when I started my uni edu. in a foreign land. How I miss the classrooms, how I miss my classmates, how I miss my teachers and their teaching methods!
From third floor to the first, we walked through the classroms, the physic, biology, chemistry labs. I never liked science practical much, but looking at the empty lab, images for us in there diligently trying to finish our practical came back before me. We scratched our brain trying to figure out where're our classroom and others used to be 2 years ago.
My alma mater... holds my many bitter-sweet memories of my 4 years of secondary school life. It's where I met my closer friends, it's where I gained knowledge, it's where I went through the toughest period of my academic life thus far.

Good news and bad news.

Bad ....
My uncle was hospitalized on Sat for lung infection and has since been in the ICU. It's heart-wrenching to see him being covered by so many tubes. He was so thin... He keeps wanting to go home. The pain that he felt, the hopelessness that he experienced and the loneliness that crept into him being trapped in an ICU roon...I know I would never understand fully how it feels, but I know it's unbearable. I hope he gets well soon.

The day for me to go back to usa is drawing near.... I dread for it to come. I don't want to go back!!!! T.T I did miss it, but i'll miss here more!!!!

The good news....

I just got the news that i have another cousin!!! My youngest lil cousin was named Kimberley!!! congrats to my aunt and family :D Bliss...

Reminder

Sometimes people need reminder that they are blessed with families and friends who love and care for them. I am no exception. For a while, I was misguided, I forgot how lucky I was, but certain events brought me back.

I've been back for more than 2 months now. Things are getting pretty boring, but nothing beats to be with your love ones. Going to US has really made me cherish my family and friends more. I know it's cliche, but it's the truth. Initially, I was a little worried of how things would be. A year may not be too long, but it's not short either. But now, I could heave a sigh of relieve to know that my worries were unfounded!

It's nice to meet old friends again. The meeting with some of the 4e1 peeps on my first weekend in Singapore (although some what boring, but it's nice to be around the people whom you know and see how they-you- have changed).

Then last Wednesday, the meeting at Funan with my 5 friends. It brought me back to the eve of my departure on May 27. Ren still with her "out of box" views on things, YSK & Mon with their laughter, YYW with his sweet tongue and A Kwa with his I-am- innocent look. They surprised me with two presents (which yyw n a kwa bought)- a white photo frame and a hair clip. I guess i'll have to let my hair grow long to use that clip. REal sorry to YYW who hurt his leg just because he wanted to develop the photo for the frame. In fact, I was really touched that they would put aside their precious dinner time to spend it with me. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH, GUYS!!!I really enjoyed the dinner and most importantly YOUR company. Things may change, but let our friendship remains strong!

Monday, July 16, 2007

Watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with my sister. I won't say it's that nice. It was ok. I think the director should spend more time in the battle in the Ministry of Mystery. I thought he put more emphasis in the DA's training. *shrug* That's just my opinion. Actually, I was thinking of watching the Transformers. But i decided to watch HP instead and ask my dad to buy the Transformers CD. Bad choice???

JJ was online! Nice to catch up with him again. He promised to send me stamps :D

I got the news that i got the apt I applied for. NOw, the problem is finding a roommate. I thought I had one, but... I don't feel like talking about it. Let's just say that she changed her mind. So, i'm alone. I don't mind living alone, but the rental cost is the one that i'm worried about. Big financial burden! I guess all I could do for now is to see myself through Fall semester and if I can't find a roommate, I may consider living in a dorm or the suite. Cheaper!

Liverpool bought a couple of strikers. Rafa's changing his tactic for Liverpool now. I can't wait for the new 'attack minded' Liverpool. Well, that is if Rafa's vision comes thru. But i'm real excited to have Torres(right with Rafa) in my fav. team.

He's cute, is he? *blush* Rafa's changing his look too. More macho, I have to say. Watch out Mourinho. Haha...

Went to Malang for the weekend. Finally, I've visited the other end of Java island. Haha...To me Malang is like a small version of Medan. My grandma said it looked like Yogja, but i've never been there *sadly*. I wanted to go to Yogja and visit Candi Borobudur. I was very close to going to Surabaya, but there was a terrible traffic jam, so went to Batu instead. Batu was like Puncak. Nothing much, but it's nice to get away from Jakarta.

Ooohh, nearly forget.
CONGRATULATION TO GERRARD & ALEX CURRAN!!!
They finally got married on Saturday.

Thursday, June 14, 2007

My aunt just called. As usual, she bragged about her 3 sons, and talked about money, money, money. *sigh* She told me that in 1998, she nearly wanted to take my dad's money and ran away with her family with it. I was rather surprised to hear that. While i'm glad she didn't take it, I had to reconsider my thoughts about this aunt of mine. REally, what an aunt!!! And the way she told me about the story is as if my family had to thank her that she didn't take the money. I felt like telling her that if she were to take the money, her family and her may have led a good life, but they led a pathetic life as their were supported by "uang haram".And I also feel that they get more out of their live being "poor" (for the record, they are not poor! Beggers, homeless people are poor!)and it's as if infering that my family are nothing compared to theirs.I felt like shouting at her to tell her that my dad worked hard to earn what he has now, and although we may not have to work as hard as them, that doesn't mean we are inferior to them! Anyway, I managed to keep my emotion to myself. I will only share my emotion with my family later.

She also asked me what happend with me and her sons, she also mentioned that S is very considerate and can wei bie ren zao xiang. I begged to differ!!! Letting me do all the cleaning, leaving me out as if I don't exist are those considerate??? She then told me how S has let her sons, the twins, to take his car while he's in indo. Y, i'm not surprised of that and of how well she thinks he is. I still feel the hurt. When I think back of those times. I told myself not to be that foolish again to cry because of them. But I think i'm still quite a fool. And the wound has yet to heal :(

Back to my aunt, she kept telling me how good her sons are and that I don't know them well enough to think that they are not good. I know they are good, but usually they're kindness are for their beloved cousins (not SO MUCH include me) and friends.Anyway, they don't know me either. They may think they know me, but there're more to me. It's enough for my family(my parents n siblings) and my close friends to know who I really am. They are the ones that matter to me, anyway.
She also told me how others make her angry by saying that my dad and S'dad helped to pay for her sons education. This is so not true! May be that's y her sons show "attitude" towards me and my family. How about S'. I don't know, but one thing's for sure- they are biased towards my family. I don't know why, but it's true.

Before ending our conversation, she asked me if I was relieved I didn't call her cause then I would have to fork out lots of money for that phonecall. Of course I said NO! In fact, I was quite surprised she asked me that! Money,money,money...

Sunday, June 10, 2007

I'm going back to jkt soon. I'm predicting a dull month ahead :S I'm happy to be back, eat Nasi Padang, Rendang, Satay, the nice seafood, E-mie.... and visited my aunt, uncle, cute baby cousin, Vennycia, but I'll be with my dad and I would be alone when he goes to work :(

Anyway, I forgot to mention that I met Roni at the zoo!!! Here's the proof

Apparently, he'd had a sex operation and taken the form of a giraffe!!! Haha... Bercanda, Ron! Tapi, lu jadi jerapa lebih cute daripada jadi monyet deh! :P

Saturday, June 09, 2007

My family and I went to the zoo yesterday (to celebrate my bro's b'day). Haha... NO, actually, we just went there cause I've never been to the Singapore Zoo before. We're bored at home and i'm tired of window shopping, so it's time for something different. Besides, it's a family outing! Wish my dad is here! Anyway,

Happy B'day, BRO!

The trip to the zoo was a little boring, and the weather was humid. But i saw some animals that i've never seen before, like the baboons, and zebra (i've never seen zebra before), and kangaroo... most importantly, I spent some quality time with my family!!!

Sunday, June 03, 2007

What was I expecting? I should have known.

I'm pissed with myself! I should have been more decisive and braver and insisted on living in the dorm. Last night, I couldn't help but think of how different my life would have been should I lived in the dorm. Now, even if I could stay there, I don't think I would like it very much. I mean people "upgrade" from dorm to apt, not the other way round, right?

*sigh*

I just hope that things would not be as bad as I thought, and hopefully things would fall into places...just take things one step at a time :S

Steven Gerrard shone for England against Brazil :D
Beckham's back. I'm not sure how helpful he would be to the England squad. I guess Steve McClaren must be at the end of his tether, desperate for something to save himself! but kudos to beckham, at least he didnt' play that badly at the friendly. Poor lampard! But it's either him or Gerrard get booded in the midfield, so i'm glad gerrard proved himself well and i'm his supporter!

Happy 27th Birthday, Stevie G!!!

Thursday, May 24, 2007

Liverpool lost, as i expected. Well, I was hoping that I was wrong, but...
*sigh*
I had to say that Liverpool did well in the first half to contain Milan. Milan didn't have much space to control the game. But Liverpool missed a few good chances. The final match was rather boring =( I wasn't very sad, may be cause i've prepared for Milan to win. Gotta agree with gattuso, it's liverpool's turn to leave in tears, but if it's of any consolation, people would remember 2005 more than they would remember the final in 2007, no? Well, to me I would. And this is not just because I'm a Liverpool fan.

Rumor has it that Rafa is going to sign Torres!!! :D I hope it's not just rumor! haha...

Tuesday, May 22, 2007

In Athens tomorrow, Liverpool vs AC Milan.

As a Liverpool fan, it's very hard for me to say this, I think AC Milan will win. They are the better side, even when Liverpool beat them in 2005, they were-are-still the better team. Of course I hope that Lady Luck will be on Liverpool side again this time, but that's not very likely, is it? Luck is sometimes necessary in football. I'm not saying that Liverpool won 2 years ago by pure luck. It took lots of strategizing, and determination to come back from 3 goals down. All in all, I don't think such things will happen. If the scoreline were to be the same in half-time, a comeback would be difficult this time.

Well, I thought Man U will win the FA Cup, but i was wrong. Wrong again this time? I won't mind. In fact, I hope I'm wrong!

Just came back from the gathering with 4e1'05 peeps. Haven't seen them for a year. They look more or less the same, although some look rather different. A Kwa has grown so tall. It felt a little weird seeing him that tall. I always thought that he's tip-toeing. Haha...

The gathering was rather boring, I have to say. We didn't know what to do after lunch :S Wanted to eat claypot rice, but the stall didn't open, so we ended up eating chu chao- fish n veggie. Thereafter, one by one, the people started to disappear. They had to go home to study, do homework blah blah... Went to Clarke Quay caused never been there before. It's so boring there. If I know, i would have chosen to go to vivo city again :(

Anyway, it was real nice to meet them again after a year! Hope we can have another gathering, which is much much much better than this! I'm sure i'm not asking too much. Till then...

i'll post the photos when i got them.

yesterday, I just learnt that i won't be able to watch CL Final on Ch. 5. This is what to hate about S'pore!!! I don't subscribe to SCV :( Have to watch it online, but online is so unreliable. Nearly a week in Singapore. So far, I've been going out everyday with my parents. Been wanting to meet my friends, but they have schools... NO worries, meeting them this weekends :D I'm so excited!!! But i'm not really sure how things will go. What should I say to them after meeting again from a year of absence? I think i'll just let nature take its course.

I have to make a confession:

As much as I hate Stilly, there are some things worth missing in Stilly!

This was written while waiting for my flight to Singapore.

I’m on my way home to Singapore now!!! So excited, yet I don’t really know what to expect. How if things won’t go as I expect them to be???

Anyway, I met a Singaporean on the plane. Her name is Pricilla. She studied at MIDC or some institution of that kind. Talk to her half of my way to Denver. She’s on the same plane as me to LA, but we didn’t sit together again. She has just graduated so she and a group of friends are going to San Francisco, and then HK for holiday before going back to Singapore. I wonder if I would be able to go for a tour after graduation…

I did some kindness today. First, while waiting for the delayed flight to LA from Denver, I helped 2 ladies saved their seats at the waiting area while they went to the restroom. Then, while calling my parents from the public phone just now, I helped a Korean guy made his call. I know that he’s a Korean as he said, “An-neong-ha-se-yo”. Well, he kinna look Korean too! Although I am going back with HIM, I think I, we, practically going back alone. I told the Singaporean girl that I’m going back alone. Well, HE’s actually sitting on Pricilla’s left while I sat on her left. How was I supposed to tell her that he’s my cousin when we acted like strangers? So we might as well be strangers! As a matter of fact, we are strangers now ever since he decided to treat me like I did not exist!

The check-in counter for economy class for Thai Air has yet to open.

I’m the waiting room now. 2 more hours before departure :S It took a very long time to check-in!!! I didn’t know what took the Thai Air attendants to take such a long time to check people in. Anyway, I was checked in by a guy whose name failed to be remembered by me. He was confused that I only have one name. He asked what my name was. I told him my name and explained that I only have one name. He was still looking at the screen perplexed. He continued to ask, “why you didn’t have a last name?”

“I wasn’t allowed to be given any,” came my reply.

“I can give you one if you want,” he added.

I was taken by surprised by his comment. The attendant besides him laughed at the comment. “What name will you give me?” I answered after a pause.

He gave it a serious thought and answered, “Canthini, Indonesia, since you’re from Indonesia.” I shook my head and said, “No”. Well, he still create a first name for me anyway- Miss. So my name is now read Canthini, Miss.

*sigh* I’m sooooo sleepy now. I want to sleep!!!

My flight from LA to BKK was delayed by 2 hours!!! The plane reached late and the beam guy was missing -.-" When I reached BKK, I only had 20 minutes to catch my connecting flight to SIN! Luckily, I made it in time, but my luggage didn't. They were on the next flight and the staff at changi airport delivered them to my house :D Didn't have to carry those heavy luggage! Haha... But I was quite worried. This never happened to me before. As soon as I reached Bishan, I indulged myself in Chicken Rice!!! Sooo many yummy food I want to eat!!!

I'm going back tomorrow!!! The day i've been waiting for ever since I came here!

Monday, May 07, 2007

I'm in Roni's house right now. He invited to for dinner, the food was alright. Would rather eat my aunt's food though :P

Anyway, the guys are playing PS2... boring...

Back about the Graduation Party... I went to attend Fery's graduation ceremony. It's the first time I attended a graduation ceremony. Looking at those happy faces of the graduates, I wanted to be one of them, too. I wanted to graduate... I wanted to get my degree... I wanted to be done with studying... I wonder what it feels like to not to study... but at the same time, I know I will missed the days of being a student, of being worried over my studies only...

K, after the ceremony, we went to eat dinner together, and I reached home at about mid-night. I stayed up till 3am in the morning to do some of the decoration!!! I was so dead-tired, but I had to put in my best effort, use my last ounce of energy that was left from 5 days of studying for Finals... The next day, woke up early to go to the library to print the words "GRADUATION PARTY". No time to hand-written it, see. Thereafter, I proceeded to some other decorations, like cutting some more cacti, and burning the papers to give them "cowboy feel". Roni came to helped, though i had to say that he's not much of help. He helped to burn some paper, so did tommy, no he's not my cousin, he just shares the same name. Would those cousins helped me? I think the answer was obvious. The only cousins that helped me was Ani. Anyway, managed to finish it in the nick of time. Went to the venue, put up the limited resources that i have. To hear people say that my decoration was nice was a real contentment :D

Have to work again tomorrow. And I had to work on 5 am in the morning from Wed to Fri!!!! OMG!!!

My creation... I was in charged for the decoration and the theme was "cowboy" so this was what I came up in less than 24 hours. I didn't have much time. My exam ended on Friday and the party was on saturday... but i think I did a good job, although it can be better. Didn't have much help. Ani helped me burn some of the paper, so did tommy n roni. But I did most of the things... waaahhh. I'm good, huh. Haha...
I checked my result just now and I get A for phy n msis, my 2 worse subjects... now, i'm getting paranoid that my better subject won't fare as well :S
better sleep now, gotta sleep. more info about the party next time

3 more exams...

I'm in charge of the decoration for the Indonesian Graduation Party... both happy and sad. happy cause I'll have a post-exam activities. Haha... Sad cause I don't know what to do :(

Anyway, it's nice to able to contribute something...

I wanted to complain about my cousin... yeah, my dislike towards my cousins has grown deeper!

On Friday, we went to the house of Taiwanese aunt whom my cousin (the eldest) know. He's going there to repair the comp. and ask THEM, i wasn't asked see, only a few hours before they go, then ani told me about that. Nothing to do, so I decided to go. Anyway, something happened and makes me hate my cousins even more. This include the eldest as well. So, we ended up talking about my other cousin's house in LA and I asked if the kitchen had an island. I always wanted an island in my kitchen! I was filled with envy when I learnt that there's an island! Then, my eldest cousin muttered out loud that I should just ask my father to build me a house with an island in the kitchen. I told him that it would me my future house. The house of my husband and I and our family, and the house that my husband and I would pay for ourselves. He continued to spite me by saying that if I wanted anything, I just need to ask my father for money, unlike him and his tiwn bro, who had to work hard for their money. I defended myself that I don't need my parents' money. I can earn my own money and those money are for my parents to yang lao, and I still have 2 younger siblings! He continued with his spiteful comment by saying that my dad had enuf money blah...blah...blah... then he mentioned that Sung's dad is worse as all his children are here in usa where the living expenses are more expensive. Well, I think Sung's dad is doing rather fine. What do u think of someone who does nothing at all and still get money from his brother's hard work??? The bottom line is that he, my cousin, HEN PAI CHI WO DE JIA REN.

While having a conversation with the taiwanese aunt, he mentioned how children should not be spoilt and parents should not just give the children what they want..... what a contradiction from what he told me! I rest my case... he doesn't like my family so be it! I don't like his too.
I really regret coming here. I couldn't help but think what would it be if I go to another place. They made me came here and they made me want to leave this place. I hope the friends that I made would made my life here better. I wanted to quickly leave this place!!!

Here's the photo of Rafa sitting cross-legged on the grass. It's the first time I saw any manager doing that! Shows that he's really down to earth, literally! haha...
It's a repeat of 2005 final... Liverpool vs AC Milan. Too bad, A Kwa, ur wish didn't come true :P
Of course I wanted Liverpool to win, but i'm sure Milan would want a revenge :( Just wait for May 23. I'll be back and it's another early morning soccer match... Kinna miss that :D
The match was far from boring. But it's marred by lots of fouls, though. Well, good entertainment! The teams which are in the final are losers from the first leg...

Liverpool is thru to the final!!! Athens beckons :D :D

I'm soooooooooooo happy. All of the sudden, the stress of impending final examination is all gone. I could only watch till full normal time. Then, i had to go to school to take my msis exam :( But I don't care. As long as liverpool won, I don't care. I got to watch a repeat after all. But nothing beats the adrenaline rush of watching a "LIVE" match!

I've never seen Liverpool played that well for some time. Not even when they won 2 seasons ago. They played with hunger, with intensity, with a cause--- to go to Athens. It's a really entertaining yet nail-biting match for me.

As soon as I finished my exam, I dashed to the library and checked out the result. I searched for the clue of the score. I couldn't help but beamed happily as I see the title "Liverpool heading to Athens". Liverpool won!!! I wanted to jump up and bring the library down. But i still have my self-control.

Reina denied robben n geremi, the keeper saved the day (again). Gerrard scored a penalty too. I know he would. He looked so calm and confident! And Rafa looked so funny when he sat cross-legged on the sideline during the penalty shoot-out! Haha... He didn't even smile when Liverpool won! But that's y I like him to be Liverpool's manager. Serious!
Go Liverpool!!! (mourinho, apparently it will take more than 3 years to form a team that could win the cl!)

Funny things that I heard during phy...

during physic revision class, the teacher suddenly asked what's the difference between Grammy and Oscar. And continued to ask who is "the Oscar guy". Then, one student said, "my great-grandfather!"

Then, the teacher asked the class about one question related to light. The same guy asked if he's going to ask that in the exam. The teacher asked him back, why he (the student) asked that. The student answered,"because u always give easy questions and this question is hard!"

Taking about Mexican waves (kallang waves as we refer to in s'pore)...

Student: "why is it called Mexican waves?"
Teacher: "because the first wave, the very first wave, was generated in Mexico!" (who would believe that!)
Teacher: " u ask a question and as the instructor, I'll give u an answer. But whether the answer is correct or not, it's another matter!"

At work, I brought my camera along to take some photos. Surprisingly, the guys, especially steward (y i'm not surprised) willingly obliged. Then, i looked throught the old photos. Photos of the class bbq, the last gathering before I went to usa, at the airport... I muttered rather loudly that I missed my friends. I asked Asagi n Steward if they missed their friends, and they said no. I'm wondering if they have any emotion at all! then, I asked y they didn't miss their friends. Steward seemed to be rather irritated to be asked about missing his friends and said that yeah, he missed his friends to satisfy me :s He then told me that there was one thing that I could do so that I wouldn't miss my friends. I need to find a boyfriend.

I told him that even if i had a boyfriend, i would still miss my friends. He said, "no" very confidently. Will having a boyfriend make a girl forget about her friends? I wonder.

Eric had quit. I just learnt yesterday. No more Eric. It's quite weird actually. Haha... It's haruyuki's last day yesterday. Asagi was so weird all of the sudden. He told me that haruyuki's graduating, and I said that I know. He proceed to say, "I'm sorry!" ???? Question marks ??? I didn't get what he's trying to say. Why he's saying sorry ??? When I suggested taking fotos of the guys, Asagi snatched my camera and insisted of taking my photo with haruyuki. It then dawned upon me what he's thinking! I refused to take photos with Haruyuki! I don't like Haruyuki (in THAT kind of way)! I mean like him as a fellow worker cause working with him is very qing song. He does most of the things :P

I told Asagi about this before and may be he got the wrong idea! Stupid!
Who is who, it's for u to guess ;)
